For 82 US dollars, you can “experience” poverty in a fake slum in South Africa, the only one in the world “equipped with under-floor heating and wireless Internet access”.
Depart Cape Town heading north, for a while, taking time to watch and see, take a left into a sleepy dorp in the lee of the mountains, take a right and continue, for a while, passing the unkempt fields and quiet homesteads. Take the gravel road to the right, up and along, through the fynbos as the dirt becomes more orange and red.
Into the Stud Farm, 3000 acres of wonderful land, hills, and tranquility.
Sleep in downy beds, warm and cozy, so to rise just as the sun creeps over the hills to the East, time to absorb this space.
No words can describe it, only your imagination and my images.
